Artist Profile

Raj Govind Bhandare was born in Goa, India and has been painting from a very tender age. He holds a Masters degree in Architecture. He has had a number of solo and group shows in India and abroad.
He mostly works in mediums like oil, acrylic, charcoal, burnt wood, steel etc… themes relating to eternal divination and spirituality. He also addresses social issues through his art.
He was awarded the National Karamveer citation for his role in creating awareness on social issues, as an emerging global Indian.
The artist works from his studio Nirvana in Goa, India but draws inspiration from every place he visits and every movement is like a frame captured immortally in his memory and transcends into a form of art at some given point of time.
His work invariably takes you parallel to his thoughts and gives you a peek into the window of his world where he spreads joy, optimism, hope, love and spirituality through art.

As I Explore the world and its contradictions… one thought that repeats itself and manifests, in different forms is Life itself !!
Does one need to experience Death to value Life ?? or is Life simply a journey in motion??
As Shakespeare says All the world is a stage and we are mere actors?? if so who has set us in motion?? in which direction? and where will it finally lead us?
My Art is a window to my world and the world to my viewers… if you can see it… you can tread the journey, a journey full of joy, optimism, hope, laughter, love and spirituality…
If I attempt I might fail, but if I allow myself to drift… I will fly… and in scaling… I will see the world beyond, and with me the, one who dares to explore. Explore?… Life itself, its simplicity and above all Divinity.

Man craved to know the source of joy and peace.
Self control has been a simple way to discipline this search for the Divine.
Man seek in a journey to transcend the primal urge to Acquire and Enjoy.
The urge… leads him to explore thyself. It is this journey that through the medium of art… I seek to explore & share.
